FAQs
HOW DO YOU APPROACH A NEW DESIGN PROJECT WITH UNFAMILIAR TECHNICAL CONSTRAINTS?
Understanding the brief, the objective, and the competitive landscape. The early phase is exploration and iterative, moving between sketching, prototyping, CAD, and physical models to test ideas quickly. I always develop multiple concepts in parallel and only converge once comparison and feedback become meaningful. The goal is to let the process reveal direction rather than forcing it too early.
HOW DO YOU COLLABORATE WITH ENGINEERING TEAMS?
Treating engineering as a core part of the design process, not a downstream constraint. We typically begin with a strong user- and vision-led concept that intentionally challenges feasibility and cost. From there, we iterate together to preserve the core intent while resolving technical realities. Strong communication and shared understanding are key to keeping the product’s “soul” intact.

WHAT DO YOU LOOK FOR IN A PORTFOLIO?
Clarity, curiosity, and a reason to keep exploring a project. A strong portfolio tells a clear story without overloading detail and creates a second layer that rewards deeper attention. The best projects make me think “why didn’t somebody already came up with this before?”
DO YOU NEED DOMAIN EXPERIENCE IN A PORTFOLIO?
Not at junior level. More important is showing that you can design within an existing brand DNA and system. Domain-specific projects can help, but the real signal is your ability to adapt your thinking to a given design language and product context.
